Siddharth Malhotra was born on January 16, 1985, in Delhi, India, to former army captain Sunil and homemaker Rimma. Growing up with his brother Harshad, he initially harbored dreams of becoming an actor but faced parental pressure to pursue engineering. To appease his family, he enrolled at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College.

Modeling Career and Transition to Film

Siddharth's striking good looks and tall stature drew the attention of modeling agencies. He spent four years on the ramp but soon realized his true calling lay in acting. He auditioned for an untitled film by Anubhav Sinha, but the project was shelved. Undeterred, he met Karan Johar and worked as an assistant director on his project.
